Open Party > CatalinaWe had another full day on the pond yesterday with some good fishing for the boys once again early in the day.
Got a call into the LB Carnage early in the AM and said they were tanked in front of Avalon, so we set course and cruised over on grease conditions as we love to see in the channel.
Weather was warm and the skies were open, not sure who was calling for rain but seems they might have mistaken!
Got into the grounds and set up shop and ran through the drill, these guys fish on a pretty regular bases on the sporties… So it looked like we had a team that knew what they were getting them selves into on this trip.
George was up first and quickly after that Charter master Jason was hooked and both worked perfect on there fish and were in the sack in no time with some toad yellow’s!
Mike was up next that looked to be a biscuit, but as his fish came to color, it was a huge 28 pound halibut that we sunk the gaff into and we were will on our way to a SEASONS slam once again….!
It was Jason’s turn again and after a 30 min fight and to color we knew we had a big black seabass on, but with a quick and painless release she was down and back home in no time.
We had one more shot as the tides were changing, and George was bit with the right kind and after a few BIG head shakes….. I guess you know the story…
After the tides switched, the current died and things became pretty slow.
We worked the island for a biscuit, but no real conditions anywhere as the water just was to clean.
All in all epic day on the water, thanks again to Mike, Jason, George & Phil for fishing with Seasons Sportfishing.
