Charter > Off Shore

We fished with a new back drop yesterday out of Dana Point with a full day charter. Baited up and was off at 3 am with some KILLER bait to say the least! Pointed the boat for the 209 area to begin our day at grey light. Worked the mammals for a good part of 2 hours before we got the first 2 fish hooked.

We had some down time and a lot of running before the fish gods set us up in the right place at the right time…. We had a full on WFO Yellow Fin Tuna bite that one can only dream of….! Fish were eating paint off the bottom of the sled.

We slid up on the out side of a bird school and i had the guys slow troll baits on the way in and it was game on with 2 hook ups! Then 3 scoops went into the corner and made for a 1 1/2 stop…

Some of the best local YFT I have seen here on our banks!
